Overview: Located near Kongsberg in southern Norway, Kongsberg Golfklubb is a highly scenic 18-hole woodland and parkland course designed by Jeremy Turner. Winding through dense pine forests and open meadows, the layout features tight fairways, subtle elevation changes, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands precise ball placement off the tee and disciplined iron play to navigate the narrow forest corridors and numerous natural streams.
History: Founded in the late 1990s, the course was built to establish a premier competitive venue in the Buskerud county. The layout was carefully integrated into the rugged terrain, minimizing earth movement to preserve the historic agricultural landscape and the deep ravines.
Did You Know? The course is built in a region historically famous for its massive silver mines. The club embraces this heritage, and several historic, preserved mining structures can be seen in the deep forests bordering the fairways.
