Overview: Kokyu Country Club is the full 18-hole Kōkyū course in Tondabayashi, not the nearby Kōkyū public short course. The active club layout measures 5,902 yards at par 71 and uses compact fairways, a single bent green and modest hillside movement to make accuracy the central skill.
History: Kokyu's current routing dates to 1976. The club opened on 1 December 1976 under the New PL Business Division design credit. The official site now presents a flat, walkable course with nine-hole sections that can be played as a complete round. The name is easily confused with the separate public short course nearby, so the address and 18-hole data are important identity anchors.
Did You Know? The course has 17 par fours and only one par five on the published scorecard, a rare distribution that changes the usual rhythm of an 18-hole round. It explains why Kōkyū feels more like a precision exercise than a conventional long course. The identity correction matters for search and display: the target is the active full course at the Shindo address, not the nearby short public course with a similar name.
