Overview: Nestled in the picturesque Twente countryside near Wierden, Koepel Golf Club is a refined parkland masterpiece that celebrates the lush, wooded heritage of the eastern Netherlands. Originally designed by Frank Pennink and later enhanced by Alan Rijks, the course is defined by its wide, tree-lined fairways and its meticulously maintained green complexes that require a high degree of confidence and touch. Its layout is characterized by its quiet, traditional atmosphere and a strategic variety that demands both power and precision, offering a serene and high-quality escape that has long been a standout destination in the province of Overijssel.
Did You Know? The club's name, "De Koepel" (The Dome), refers to a historic domed pavilion that once sat on the estate and served as a waypoint for travelers between the major eastern cities. Today, the course is a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" and is home to one of the most successful owl-nesting programs in the region, with several rare species of birds often spotted by golfers during the twilight rounds.
