Overview: Ko Olina Golf Club is a public Ted Robinson course on Oahu’s leeward coast, with broad fairways, water features, multi-tiered greens and views toward the ocean. The par-72 routing measures 6,412 yards in the directory record and uses gentle ground rather than steep mountain elevation. Wind, landing area and approach angle are the recurring strategic themes.
History: The course was built in 1990 as part of the Ko Olina resort development. Ted Robinson’s design is still reflected in the large landing areas, water hazards and tiered green complexes, while the surrounding resort and shoreline have grown around the original golf property.
Did You Know? Ko Olina is organized around a series of coastal lagoons, but the golf course is not simply a shoreline loop. Its water features and green levels create an inland strategy that separates the routing from the resort’s beach frontage.
