Overview: Killien Golf Club is the current name used for an 18-hole, par-72 course in Bang Len, Nakhon Pathom, roughly an hour west of central Bangkok. The course guide lists 7,079 yards and credits American architect Ken Killian. Its rural setting beside the Nakhon Chai Si River is shaped by a series of lakes, and wind through the river corridor adds another variable to a layout that rewards controlled placement. It makes a useful western-Bangkok counterpoint to the denser courses around the capital, with enough open ground and water to make club selection matter throughout the round.
History: The site's original NCR Country Club course welcomed golfers in 1997. Golfasian records a substantial redesign and the opening of the present NCR routing in March 2022, while current travel material uses Killien Golf Club as the playing name. Those milestones are kept separate: 1997 belongs to the original course, and 2022 is the opening date used here for the current 18-hole routing. The former NCR identity remains an alias so searches for the older club name still resolve to the same location.
Did You Know? The redesigned course changed the closing stretch's strategy. Golfasian records the former finishing hole as an extra-long par four with water beside it, while the current routing uses a more manageable par five. The change gives the closing hole a different risk-and-reward question and is a concrete example of how the 2022 redesign altered play, not only the name on the sign.
