Overview: The Chamberlain Course is the championship 18-hole routing at Kyiv Golf Club GolfStream, west of Kyiv near the River Zdvizh and the Klavdiyev forest. Peter Chamberlain’s design sits within a 36-hole complex and uses the area’s floodplain, wetlands, woodland edges and water hazards as central parts of the strategy. The Ukrainian Golf Federation lists par 72 and 6,853 metres from the black tees, approximately 7,490 yards. Ten holes bring lakes or streams into play, while the seventh is a memorable par three to a peninsula green.
History: Kyiv Golf Club was founded in 2008 as part of the GolfStream investment project. The early Park Course and Club Course established the first nine-hole and full-length building blocks, while contemporary reporting described the Chamberlain championship course as the final routing planned for late summer 2010. The complex later hosted a 2012 qualifying round for the Ladies European Tour Access Series and continued a programme of international and Ukrainian tournaments. In 2022, the club reported severe wartime damage to the property and began seeking support for reconstruction; current playing and restoration status is not confirmed by the sources reviewed.
Did You Know? Chamberlain’s fifth hole was designed with a split fairway: one line shortens the hole but asks for an approach over water, while the longer line travels around the hazard through narrower targets. It is a compact example of the course’s wider design idea, where wetlands and water shape decisions rather than serving only as background scenery.
