Overview: Champion Trace at Keene Trace Golf Club is a private Arthur Hills course in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The routing follows rolling former horse-farm ground, with woods, lakes, and open fairways creating different strategic problems across the two nines.
History: Tom Heilbron built the course and Arthur Hills designed it in 1987. Keene Trace later improved the course under new ownership before Champion Trace hosted the Barbasol Championship and other collegiate and amateur events.
Did You Know? Champion Trace has hosted the 1993 NCAA Championship, the 1994 U.S. Senior Amateur, and the PGA Tour's Barbasol Championship. Those events reflect the course's ability to support several levels of championship golf.
