Overview: Katrineholms Golfklubb’s Blå/Gul combination is the original 18-hole course at a facility that now offers more than one way to play. The layout moves through parkland and woodland, with the two nine-hole loops creating a varied sequence of tee shots, approaches and green settings. Trees provide definition without making every hole feel enclosed, and the broader landscape gives the course room to breathe. The result is a traditional regional course whose challenge comes from placing the ball well and reading the changing angles into the greens.
History: The first nine holes were completed in 1963, three more followed in 1969 and the final two arrived in 1972, completing the 18-hole Blå/Gul course in 1973. Nils Sköld is associated with the original course, while the club later developed a separate nine-hole layout. This profile keeps the 1963 date as the course’s origin and distinguishes it from the later 18-hole completion.
Did You Know? Katrineholms Golfklubb has been used for professional Swedish Challenge golf. The tournament connection gives the Blå/Gul course a wider sporting context than its quiet inland setting might suggest.
