Overview: Kansai Country Club lets its setting lead the round. It lies at the foot of Kono-yama in Kameoka, on rolling ground that is open enough to show the surrounding hills and wooded enough to create distinct corridors. Ken Sato's 18 holes play to par 72 and 6,610 yards, with the current hole table showing a balanced 36-36 split.
History: Kansai's course entered service in 1977. Kansai Country Club opened on 27 July 1977. The operator's history describes a course designed to respect the natural setting, with seasonal trees and flowers integrated into the route. The present club identity is therefore closely linked to both the hills and the planted landscape around the holes.
Did You Know? The course's named landscape includes cherry, bellflower and azalea plantings. They are not merely clubhouse decoration: the operator specifically identifies seasonal flowering trees as part of the atmosphere golfers see while moving through the routing. The flowering trees are part of the course's published identity, linking the golf experience to the seasonal landscape rather than treating the hills as scenery alone.
