Overview: Kalgoorlie Golf Course is a public desert-style layout in Western Australia’s Goldfields, where red earth, Santa Ana couch fairways and bentgrass greens create a setting unlike the coastal courses around Perth. Graham Marsh’s design uses the open landscape and long sight lines as part of the challenge.
History: The current course opened in 2010 after the Kalgoorlie and Hannans golf interests moved toward a new 18-hole facility. The club’s longer history reaches back to 1899, while the modern course has developed into a regional destination under Marsh’s design.
Did You Know? Graham Marsh was born in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and returned to the course in 2026 to review the design and its continuing development.
