Overview: The Hills Course at Jupiter Hills is a private sand-ridge course in Tequesta, Florida, where the terrain rises and falls instead of following the state’s flatter coastal norm. George Fazio’s routing uses pine, scrub and elevated ground, with the natural ridge providing much of the course’s visual and strategic character.
History: The course opened around 1970 after George Fazio developed his design on a site that required comparatively little earthmoving. Tom Fazio was involved in the project and later work on the course, continuing the family connection to the property.
Did You Know? Jupiter Hills is known for having more than half of its holes play either uphill or downhill. That unusual amount of vertical movement is one reason the Hills Course feels unlike the flat Florida layouts found closer to the coast.
