Overview: Jacaranda Golf Club's East Course is the longer of the Plantation club's two 18-hole parkland routings, reaching 7,245 yards at par 72 from the current longest tees. Ponds and canals thread through the property, while five tee positions and broad, undulating fairways give the layout a wide range of playing angles. Mark Mahannah is credited with the original design, and Bobby Weed led the East Course's 2025 renovation.
History: East opened in 1971 as part of Jacaranda's original 36-hole development. The course has since been refined through architectural and turf work rather than replaced, preserving its established routing while improving the playing surfaces. During the 2025 project, the club resurfaced the tees, fairways and rough, restored bunkers, added coquina for drainage and walkability, and refreshed paths, landscaping and comfort stations.
Did You Know? The East Course has hosted PGA Tour Q-School, U.S. Open qualifying, Florida Open qualifying and 2000 U.S. Amateur qualifying. That event history reflects the course's combination of championship length, multiple tee options and a scorecard that can be set up for serious competition.
