Overview: Located in Lappajärvi, Finland, Järviseudun Golfseura is a highly scenic 18-hole woodland and parkland course designed by Peter Fjällman. Winding through dense pine and birch forests and directly along the shores of Lake Lappajärvi, the layout features tight, tree-lined fairways, natural streams, and small, subtly contoured green complexes. The course demands accurate ball placement off the tee to navigate the mature trees and the deep waters of the lake.
History: The club was established in the 1990s to bring high-quality competitive golf to the Southern Ostrobothnia region. Fjällman carefully routed the holes to showcase the dramatic lakeside topography, establishing a premier destination that frequently hosts regional amateur championships.
Did You Know? Lake Lappajärvi, which borders several holes, is a massive crater lake formed by a meteorite impact over 70 million years ago. This unique geological history provides a spectacular and ancient backdrop for the course.
