Overview: International Club of Myrtle Beach is an 18-hole public course in Murrells Inlet, on the South Strand. Willard Byrd designed the par-72 layout at 6,857 yards, with rolling fairways, strategic bunkering, water features and Lowcountry vegetation creating a course that is both playable and visually varied. The setting is close to the marsh and coastal communities, but the routing is primarily a tree-lined inland course rather than an exposed links design.
History: International Club opened in 2000 and was created as a course that could blend into the natural landscape of Murrells Inlet. Byrd's design has remained central to the club's identity, with later course materials emphasizing the combination of rolling ground, water and generous green complexes. Its location near Myrtle Beach, Garden City, Surfside Beach and Pawleys Island makes it a useful South Strand base for multi-course trips.
Did You Know? Every hole carries a plaque with facts and history about a different country. The international theme is therefore built into the routing itself, turning a round into a sequence of small geographic stories rather than leaving the name as a simple club label.
