Infinitum Golf (Lakes Course)

Overview: Infinitum's Lakes Course is an 18-hole wetland links near Vila-seca and Tarragona, laid through the protected Sèquia Major natural area on the Costa Dorada. Greg Norman's routing uses water, sandy ground and shaped mounds to create a course that feels connected to the coastal landscape without being a conventional seaside links. The water comes into play on fourteen holes, so accuracy and position matter as much as distance. Native vegetation, reeds and open wetland views give the holes a distinctive rhythm, while the fairways and greens ask players to judge both line and carry. The course can look generous from the tee, but the best angle often depends on avoiding a hazard that is not directly in front of the player. Sea breezes add another variable, making flight control and thoughtful club selection central to the round.

History: The Lakes Course was designed by Greg Norman and opened to the public in 2008. Its defining feature has always been the way the routing threads through the Sèquia Major wetland, turning a protected natural setting into the central architectural idea. Infinitum undertook a major bunker renovation in 2024 with Norman's approval, working with European Golf Design and Garden&Golf. The project renewed the bunkers and improved paths while retaining the existing identity of the course. The Lakes has also become part of Infinitum's wider tournament platform, which includes the final stage of the DP World Tour Qualifying School.

Did You Know? Infinitum describes the Lakes setting as home to more than 100 bird species. That detail helps explain why the course feels different from a standard resort layout: the wetland is not merely scenery beyond the fairways, but a living landscape that shapes the views, vegetation and water strategy throughout the round.
