Overview: Indigo Lakes Golf Club was an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course on Indigo Drive in Daytona Beach, designed by Lloyd Clifton. Historical course records describe a relatively flat, tree-lined layout with woodland and residential surroundings; the back-tee reference is published as 7,168 yards. The course is no longer operating as a golf facility.
History: Indigo Lakes opened in 1976 and developed alongside the surrounding Daytona Beach neighborhood. Lloyd Clifton was credited with the design and later redesign work, including a 7,168-yard championship presentation reported in the 1990s. The course closed in 2018 after years of maintenance and ownership difficulties, and later redevelopment proposals concerned the former 250-acre golf property.
Did You Know? Indigo Lakes was built as an 18-hole course and its setting was defined by mature trees, ponds and residential streets. That combination made it a recognizable neighborhood golf landscape even after the course ceased operating.
