Overview: Indian River Preserve Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Mims designed by Perry Dye and LPGA champion Jan Stephenson. The 7,146-yard black-tee reference travels through rolling fairways, lakes, native vegetation and wildlife habitat, with five tee sets shaping the challenge. The official course identity also includes a bonus 19th green, a par three built as an extra finishing-style hole.
History: The course opened in 2003 as Walkabout Golf Club before taking the Indian River Preserve name in 2016. The renaming accompanied a new clubhouse and work on the greens, bunkers and sand areas. Dye's strategic shaping and Stephenson's playing perspective remain central to the course's published design story.
Did You Know? The extra 19th green is shaped like Australia, a playful detail that reflects the course's former Walkabout identity. It sits outside the standard 18-hole score and gives the facility an unusual post-round par-three feature.
