Overview: Imperial Palms Hotel & Resort (also known as the Barbara Worth Country Club) is a historic desert oasis with roots dating back to 1927. Designed by the acclaimed architect Lawrence Hughes, the course is a classic "Golden Age" layout characterized by its wide fairways, mature palms, and significant water hazards. The layout meanders through the rugged landscape of the Imperial Valley, offering a striking contrast between the lush green fairways and the surrounding arid desert. The facility is currently undergoing a series of major restorations under new local ownership to revitalize the course ahead of its 2027 centennial, preserving the same historic routing and strategic character that has defined it for nearly a century.
Did You Know? The club is named after the legendary local resident and Silent Film star Barbara Worth; its historic character and its role as a premier sporting and social destination in the desert have made it a favorite for generations of Southern California golfers looking for a unique and historic "frontier-style" golf experience.
