Overview: Tradition is the Steve Nicklaus-designed course at Ibis in West Palm Beach, one of three 18-hole routings at the club. The black tees extend to 7,062 yards at par 72, with the course presented as a parkland layout shaped by broad fairways, water and varied green angles. It completes the Nicklaus family's three-course design presence at the same address.
History: Tradition opened in 2001, after Jack Nicklaus's Legend and Jack Nicklaus II's Heritage had established the Ibis golf complex. The course therefore belongs to a later phase of the club's development, but its authorship is clearly identified: Steve Nicklaus supplied the third design voice in the family group.
Did You Know? The three Ibis routings form a rare family design sequence. Legend is credited to Jack Nicklaus, Heritage to Jack Nicklaus II and Tradition to Steve Nicklaus, allowing the course names to double as a simple guide to their designers.
