Overview: Hunters Run East is one of three private 18-hole courses at the Boynton Beach community. The current renovation record lists par 71 and 6,602 yards, while the original design is credited to Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge. Lakes, rebuilt greens, bulkheads and new elevation work shape this distinctly engineered South Florida parkland course.
History: All three Hunters Run courses were completed in 1979 before residential construction began. East received major design input from Kipp Schulties in 2008 and entered another near-$10 million renovation in 2024, with work on greens, drainage, irrigation, fairway contours and lake edges.
Did You Know? The East course has been used as a test case for creating contour in a flat region: recent work raised low areas, expanded lakes and reshaped features so that elevation and drainage become visible parts of the design.
