Overview: Granada is the newest 18-hole championship course in Hot Springs Village, set at the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. Ault, Clark & Associates shaped the par-72 layout around rolling hills, tall pines, creeks and broad views, with the current profile listing 7,115 yards. The course combines mountain scenery with carefully defined playing corridors, and its signature holes use water and elevation to make the final stretch especially memorable. It is a modern Arkansas design with a strong sense of place rather than a generic resort layout.
History: Hot Springs Village began developing its large golf community after the acquisition of 20,000 acres in 1969. Granada became the ninth and final course in the Village's original golf expansion, with construction beginning in 2002 and the grand opening taking place on Labor Day weekend in 2004. The course was designed by Ault, Clark & Associates, continuing the firm's long association with Hot Springs Village and its sequence of mountain and woodland layouts.
Did You Know? Granada's par-5 18th is known for a locally designed waterfall that runs along the fairway toward the green and the restaurant above it. The 17th is another demanding finishing hole, a long par 4 with a notably deep green. Together they give the closing stretch a distinctive visual signature.
