Overview: Located near Hornbæk, on the northern coast of Zealand, Denmark, Hornbæk Golfklub is a highly scenic 18-hole woodland and parkland course. Winding through dense pine forests and open meadows, the layout features tight fairways, subtle elevation changes, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands precise ball placement off the tee to navigate the narrow forest corridors and numerous natural streams.
History: Founded in the late 1980s, the course was built to bring high-quality competitive golf to the North Zealand region. The layout was carefully integrated into the existing landscape, minimizing earth movement to preserve the historic agricultural fields and providing a high-quality, accessible venue for the local community.
Did You Know? The course is built immediately adjacent to the Hornbæk Plantation, a massive, highly protected nature reserve. The dense, ancient woodlands ensure that the playing corridors remain completely isolated and free from any modern residential development.
