Overview: Horizons Golf Resort is a championship layout located in Salamander Bay, Port Stephens, New South Wales. Designed by Graham Marsh and Ross Watson, the parkland course is situated on flat terrain with extensive lakes and marshlands. The routing features wide couch fairways and large bentgrass greens, demanding strategic approaches to navigate the water hazards.
History: Opened in 1992, the resort was designed to provide a resort golf experience in a coastal wetland setting. Over the years, the course has hosted major tournaments including the ANZ Ladies Masters and the PGA Seniors Championship. Recent ownership investments have upgraded the greens and irrigation systems.
Did You Know? The resort is famous for its abundant wildlife; large mobs of Eastern Grey Kangaroos are a constant presence, often grazing peacefully on the fairways during play.
