Overview: Hollywood Beach Golf Club is a public parkland course on Johnson Street in Hollywood, with four tee sets and a current black-tee distance of 6,376 yards at par 70. The restored layout emphasizes open fairway corridors, traditional green contours and a course setting without homes directly beside the playing lines.
History: The course first opened in 1924 and has long carried a Donald Ross attribution, although the club's current research notes that Willie Park Jr. may have created the original plan used as inspiration. After a two-year, $13 million redesign, Richard Mandell Golf Architecture brought the course back into play in 2026 while restoring traditional characteristics.
Did You Know? Hollywood Beach's redesign is unusually self-conscious about its past: the current club says the work was intended to recover traditional Ross-era characteristics, making the reopened course a conversation between a 1920s plan and a 2026 interpretation.
