Overview: Hollow Brook Golf Club is a private Cortlandt Manor course on hilly Westchester ground, with wetlands, rock and woodland edges shaping the routing. Eric Bergstol designed the current 18-hole course, where elevation and the natural constraints of the site influence both club selection and line.
History: The property includes the history of a 1919 nine-hole Hollow Brook Country Club. The modern course was later built across about 250 acres, retaining the Hollow Brook stream and using the difficult terrain as the basis for the layout rather than flattening it into a conventional subdivision course.
Did You Know? The name comes from the watercourse that runs through the property. The brook is therefore part of the course's physical routing and its historical identity, not simply a club name chosen after construction.
