Overview: Located on the Kirsebærholmen peninsula in Holbæk, Denmark, Holbæk Golfklub is a highly scenic 18-hole coastal woodland course. Set entirely on a massive peninsula jutting into the Holbæk Fjord, the layout features tight, tree-lined fairways, subtle elevation changes, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands precise ball placement to navigate the narrow forest corridors and numerous waterfront hazards.
History: Founded in the early 1960s, the course was built to bring high-quality competitive golf to the region. The layout was carefully integrated into the existing landscape, minimizing earth movement to preserve the historic coastal ecosystem and providing a high-quality, accessible venue for the local community.
Did You Know? Because the course is built entirely upon a peninsula surrounded by the deep waters of the Holbæk Fjord, players are constantly subjected to shifting coastal winds that drastically alter the playing strategy on the exposed holes.
