Overview: Hokkaido Country Club’s Onuma Course extends across 18 holes at par 73 beneath Mount Komagatake. The current Prince layout lists 7,330 yards, with wide fairways, gentle hills and a varied sequence of uphill, downhill and water-crossing holes. The scale is characteristically Hokkaido: generous in width, but demanding enough that long carries and changing lies can quickly turn the open landscape into a serious test.
History: The course opened on July 16, 1965, and current course records credit Seibu Railway with the design. It shares a clubhouse and resort setting with the Prince Course beside Hakodate-Onuma Prince Hotel. The property has more than half a century of golf history and has hosted the Nitori Ladies tournament, adding a current championship chapter to its long resort identity.
Did You Know? The back-tee card includes a 630-yard hole, one of the longest individual holes highlighted by the operator. It is a useful expression of the Onuma design: the fairways invite a bold shot, but the sheer scale of the hole also makes position and second-shot planning essential.
