Overview: Hobe Sound Golf Club is a private 18-hole course on Florida's Treasure Coast, where preserved wetlands, oak hammocks, lakes and very few homes create a secluded parkland setting. The current club page lists 7,150 yards, while the hole tour emphasizes strategic landing areas, multi-tiered greens and changing coastal breezes.
History: The member-owned club's current course was renovated by Tom Fazio II, who describes working with the property's sandy white soil, pines, oaks and scrub oak. A later regrassing and shaping project addressed tees, bunkers, drainage and greens while retaining the natural character of the site; no reliable original opening year was found.
Did You Know? Hobe Sound's wetlands are not just scenery: the club's own hole tour notes that otters occupy some of the wetland areas, while the surrounding oak hammocks and scrub oak form the natural frame for the golf holes.
