Overview: Located near Skals in northern Jutland, Denmark, the Nord (North) and Syd (South) combination at Hjarbæk Fjord Golf Klub forms a demanding 18-hole championship layout. Winding through steeply rolling, glacial terrain and deep, mature forests, the course features significant elevation changes, tight fairways, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The layout demands precise target-golf shot-making to navigate the steep hillsides and the numerous water hazards.
History: Opened in the late 1990s, the course was built to establish a premier competitive venue in the Limfjord region. The layout was carefully integrated into the natural, rugged topography, minimizing earth movement to preserve the historic agricultural landscape and the deep ravines.
Did You Know? From several elevated tee boxes, players can enjoy breathtaking, panoramic views of the Hjarbæk Fjord. The scenic waterfront setting provides a tranquil, natural environment where players frequently encounter native coastal birds and deer.
