Overview: Located in Mölndal near Gothenburg, Sweden, Hills Golfklubb is an 18-hole championship course designed by Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest, with subsequent redesigns by Swedish professional golfer Johan Edfors. Routed through a rugged landscape of steep rocky ravines and pine woodlands, the layout features significant elevation shifts, narrow fairways, and large green complexes protected by deep bunkers.
History: Opened in 2005, Hills was conceived as a premier tournament venue. Between 2012 and 2018, Edfors completed a comprehensive modernization that redesigned the greens and bunkers to modern tournament standards, improving playability while enhancing its strategic character. The venue has hosted the Nordea Masters on the European Tour in 2018.
Did You Know? The spectacular modern clubhouse sits on a high rocky ridge overlooking the 18th green. This elevated position creates a natural amphitheater, providing views for spectators watching dramatic tournament finishes on the closing holes.
