Overview: The President’s Reserve at Hermitage Golf Course is a public Tennessee layout through roughly 300 acres of wetlands and along the Cumberland River. Denis Griffiths designed the course to use the natural water and open ground, with the full layout playing up to about 7,200 yards.
History: The President’s Reserve was built in 2001 as the second eighteen-hole course at Hermitage. It followed the General’s Retreat and expanded the public golf destination while keeping the property’s river and wetland landscape central to the design.
Did You Know? More than forty Scottish Blackfaced sheep roam the Hermitage property year-round. They are part of the course’s official identity and a deliberate nod to Scotland, the historic home of the game.
