Overview: Heritage Shores Golf Club is an Arthur Hills 18-hole course in Bridgeville, Delaware, designed as the centerpiece of a large active-adult community. The par-72 routing reaches just over 7,000 yards and combines wide fairways with strategically placed bunkers, undulating ground and water obstacles. Its mixed course type reflects the balance between open, links-style playing corridors and the wetlands, ponds and residential landscape around them. Five tee positions let the layout change substantially in scale, so the course can ask for thoughtful placement without requiring every round to be played at the back markers.
History: Heritage Shores opened in 2007 as the golf centerpiece of the Heritage Shores community. Arthur Hills designed the course to use the natural character of the Delmarva Peninsula, and the property has continued to combine golf with residential, dining and recreation facilities. The course has always maintained a public-facing role even though it sits within a planned community. Current official information confirms the par-72 layout, five tee choices and a length of about 7,005 yards, while the wider community continues to develop around the original golf plan.
Did You Know? Heritage Shores uses five tee positions and a two-acre grass practice tee, but the course's most distinctive design relationship is with the surrounding Delmarva wetlands. Arthur Hills placed water, fairway width and green surrounds together so the open corridors still demand careful decisions.
