Overview: Located in the Tali Manor park just outside central Helsinki, Finland, Helsingin Golfklubi (Tali Golf) is a historic 18-hole parkland course. Winding through an ancient estate featuring massive oak and linden trees, the layout is characterized by tight, tree-lined fairways, subtle elevation changes, and small, heavily defended green complexes. The course requires pinpoint accuracy off the tee and disciplined iron play to navigate the historic forest corridors and natural streams.
History: Founded in 1932, Helsingin Golfklubi is the oldest golf club in Finland. The course was expanded to a full 18-hole championship layout in 1952 in conjunction with the Helsinki Olympic Games. In recent years, golf architect Philip Spogárd completed a comprehensive, respectful modernization that updated the bunkering and greens to contemporary standards while preserving its classic golden age character.
Did You Know? The club's spectacular clubhouse is a beautifully restored 17th-century wooden manor house known as Talin kartano. This elegant estate provides one of the most historic and atmospheric clubhouses in European golf, surrounded by formal gardens and ancient trees.
