Overview: Located near Oslo, Norway, Hauger Golfklubb is an 18-hole parkland course designed by British architect Jeremy Turner. Perched on a south-facing slope overlooking the Nittedal valley, the layout features significant elevation changes, wide fairways, and large green complexes. Exposed to strong valley winds, the course represents a robust championship test that rewards powerful driving and precise approach play.
History: Opened in 1988, Hauger was designed by Turner to establish a premier competitive venue in the Akershus region. The routing was carefully planned to utilize the steep hillsides, creating a layout that has hosted multiple professional events on the Nordic League. The club has committed to environmental preservation, achieving GEO Certified status.
Did You Know? The course is built on a south-facing hillside that enjoys a warm microclimate. This solar exposure allows the fairways to thaw and dry rapidly, making Hauger one of the earliest courses in the Oslo area to open its summer greens each spring.
