Overview: Harrison Hills Golf & Country Club gives players 18 holes at par 72 on roughly 200 acres of rolling ground in Attica, southwest of Lafayette. The current layout measures about 6,820 yards and combines tree-lined fairways, bent-grass playing surfaces, strategic bunkering, and notable changes in elevation. Its setting beside the broader Prophetstown landscape gives the course a rural character, while the greens and uphill approaches provide a test that is more varied than the yardage alone suggests.
History: Harrison Hills was established in 1924, with William Langford responsible for the original course and a Tudor-style clubhouse dating from the same period. For much of its early life the facility consisted of a single-nine routing. The course was later expanded and remodeled, with Tim Liddy reworking the routing and adding the holes that created the present 18-hole configuration. That combination of original Langford ground and later Liddy work explains why the club's historical descriptions sometimes list the early Langford and Moreau course while current course information describes an 18-hole Langford and Liddy layout.
Did You Know? Harrison Hills preserves two different eras of golf architecture in one routing. Several of the original holes remain part of the modern course, while the later expansion changed the scale from a compact local course into an 18-hole championship facility.
