Overview: Portside is one of the two Dick Nugent courses at Harborside International on Chicago’s South Side. Built as an inland links-style layout, it uses broad fairways, native grasses, sculpted contours, water and skyline views to create a distinctive public par-72 round.
History: Harborside’s Port and Starboard courses were designed by Dick Nugent to bring the visual language of seaside links golf to Chicago. In 2017, the facility completed a major bunker renovation using modern drainage technology.
Did You Know? Two-time Masters champion Ben Crenshaw compared Harborside with Muirfield during the 2002 Champions Tour stop, an unusually strong compliment for an inland course.
