Overview: Haggs Castle Golf Club is one of Glasgow’s most illustrious parkland courses, set within the lush surroundings of Pollok Park. Originally established in 1910, the course has long been a staple of the professional circuit, having hosted the Scottish Open and several European Tour events in the 1980s. The layout is characterized by its mature tree-lined fairways, impeccable conditioning, and a stretch of new holes designed by Dave Thomas in the 1990s to maintain its championship integrity.
Did You Know? The club is named after the nearby Haggs Castle, a 16th-century tower house which served as the original home of the Maxwell family and now sits adjacent to the course boundary.
