Overview: Haeundae Beach Golf & Resort is an 18-hole coastal course in Gijang, east of Busan. The KLPGA course record lists the Mountain and Ocean combination at par 72 and 6,270 yards. Its character comes from the way those two nines share the site. The Mountain nine uses the surrounding slopes to create a more enclosed rhythm, while the Ocean nine opens toward the coast and lets wind, sea and broad views influence club selection. Opening coverage notes that twelve of the eighteen holes look toward the sea, a useful measure of how strongly the coastal setting enters the round. The course is close enough to Busan to fit into a city stay, but its golf is organised around the land and water at the edge of the urban area.
History: The club officially opened on 8 November 2014 after development in the East Busan tourism area. It was conceived as a private 18-hole course connected with a larger marine leisure destination, and the current course identity remains the Mountain and Ocean pairing. Seo Woo-hyun is credited with the course design in contemporary coverage. The later growth of the Osiria tourism district has made the location more accessible, but the course's original appeal remains the combination of mountain shelter and open sea.
Did You Know? The KLPGA record makes the eighteenth hole an Ocean-course par 5 of 539 yards. It is one of the longest holes on the published card and brings the round back to the shoreline landscape at the finish, where the view and the final scoring opportunity arrive together.
