Overview: Hacienda Riquelme is an 18-hole Nicklaus Design parkland course in Murcia, arranged around native Mediterranean vegetation, broad fairways, and five large lakes. The course measures 6,356 metres from its longest tees and uses wide landing zones followed by subtle greens.
History: Hacienda Riquelme opened in 2008 as part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail in Murcia. Nicklaus Design shaped the course around the existing landscape, retaining native plants and using lakes to connect the holes with the surrounding resort and agricultural setting.
Did You Know? Five large lakes sit among native Mediterranean vegetation and wild flora. Water is visible on many holes without every hazard being forced directly into the line of play, which gives the course room for different strategies.
