Overview: Situated in the historic polder heart of North Holland, the Haarlemmermeersche Golfclub is a massive and strategic 27-hole facility that celebrates the maritime heritage of the region. Originally designed by the legendary Christy O’Connor Jnr, the course winds through landscapes that include the Ringvaart canal, the Floriade grounds, and the Meerbos forest. Characterized by its open, wind-swept polder fairways and its significant water hazards, the layout prizes accuracy and tactical adjustment against the elements. With its championship-scale and high-caliber competitive feed, it has long been a standout destination for the purists of the Amsterdam region.
Did You Know? The club is located in one of the most famous "new lands" in the world, on the site of a former massive inland sea that was drained mid-19th century. During its construction, the club worked to preserve several "heritage reed-beds" that date back to the earliest years of the polder's reclamation, which now support rare species of local waterfowl and serve as a vital ecological anchor for the surrounding agricultural community.
