Overview: Gunter's Landing is a semi-private James Jimmy Kennamer course in Guntersville, Alabama, set among forested foothills above Lake Guntersville. Downhill par threes, elevation changes, wooded corridors and water give the parkland layout a varied North Alabama rhythm.
History: The 18-hole course opened in 1991 as the centerpiece of a 730-acre residential development. Kennamer's design uses the site's plateau and lake views to create a course that feels both wooded and exposed depending on the hole.
Did You Know? The course's name recalls John Gunter, an 18th-century trader whose store and trading post helped give the local landing and later town their name.
