Overview: North of Málaga airport, Guadalhorce unfolds as 18 holes through gentle slopes and waterways beside the river that gives it its name. Kosti Kuronen's parkland routing divides into wooded ground and a more water-influenced section, with large greens and lakes making accuracy important.
History: The club grew from Málaga golfers who formed Guadalhorce Sociedad Anónima in 1987 and acquired the property. The course opened for play in 1989, designed by Finnish architect Kosti Kuronen, and was later remodelled with Miguel Ángel Jiménez involved in the work.
Did You Know? The property includes an 18th-century country house that now serves as the clubhouse. The course combines a modern routing with an older agricultural building, giving the club a strong sense of place.
