Overview: Greystone Golf Club, now also known as The Links at Greystone, is a public course in Walworth, New York, near Rochester. Craig Schreiner’s par-72 layout uses rolling ground, Scottish-style mounding, pot bunkers, tall native grasses, and large undulating greens. From the championship tees the course plays a little over 7,200 yards.
History: The course first opened in 1995 as Greystone Golf Club and was developed by the Odenbach family. Their earlier quarry and construction background supplied equipment and local experience for the project. The family later sold the course in 2000 and bought it back in 2016, returning the facility to family ownership.
Did You Know? Greystone’s gray stone bulkheads are part of the course’s visual identity, especially beside the sixth and eighteenth holes. They echo the course name while also defining water-edge shots where a miss can rebound toward the hazard.
