Overview: Perched on the hillside above the town of Greenock and designed by the legendary James Braid, Greenock Golf Club offers a spectacular moorland round with panoramic views of the Clyde estuary. The 18-hole layout is a par 68, measuring approximately 5,850 yards, and is characterized by its dramatic elevation changes and its demand for intelligent course management. Braid’s trademark strategic vision is evident in the positioning of every hazard, making expert use of the natural slopes and rock outcrops. Greenock offers a peaceful, high-altitude sanctuary that provides a robust and visually striking test of golf in the West of Scotland.
Did You Know? The club has a history dating back to 1890 and originally played on a shorter layout at a different site. The move to the current "Braid" routing allowed for the creation of a much more varied and technical challenge that has hosted numerous regional and national tournaments.
