Overview: Perched on the shores of Lough Foyle on the Inishowen Peninsula, Greencastle Golf Club is a historic and highly scenic coastal links course. Originally founded in 1892, the layout was significantly refined by the legendary Eddie Hackett to create a technical and atmospheric test. Characterized by its narrow fairways and its unyielding exposure to the elements, Greencastle offers a visceral round of "lowball" links golf with panoramic views across the water toward the County Londonderry shoreline.
Did You Know? Greencastle is one of the oldest clubs in the Northwest and has maintained a reputation for its pristine conditioning and its spectacular "signatures" par-3s that play over rocky inlets. Its design prizes tactical accuracy over length, and the constant coastal breezes ensure that it remains a stern but fair challenge for golfers of all levels, capturing the true spirit of ancient Irish golf in a remote Donegal corner.
