Overview: Green Spring gives players 18 holes on a par-72 desert scorecard, using natural ravines, gorges, lakes, and red-rock country in Washington, Utah.
History: Construction began in 1989 and the course opened after roughly a year of work. It was Bates’s first solo project and quickly gained recognition as a strong new public course in the Intermountain West.
Did You Know? Green Spring was built around existing ravines and gorges rather than hiding them. The natural cuts in the land provide much of the course’s strategy and visual identity.
