Overview: Green Resort Hrubá Borša is an 18-hole championship course at a 27-hole golf resort near Senec, in the open lowland landscape of south-western Slovakia. Martin Munka designed the championship routing as part of a resort that also includes a separate nine-hole public course. The broad setting gives the holes room to move through open ground, with water, planted areas and shaped playing corridors providing the main visual and strategic structure. The ranked directory row is the 18-hole course, not the full 27-hole facility. Its par is 72 and the listed back-tee length is approximately 7,284 yards, making it a substantial test while still offering multiple angles through the resort landscape.
History: Green Resort entered the Slovak golf scene in 2014, with the resort’s opening recorded on 10 August of that year. From the beginning, the project was planned as more than a single course: the site combined an 18-hole championship layout with a nine-hole public course and supporting practice and resort facilities. Martin Munka’s involvement links the project to the wider development of modern Slovak golf, while the location near Senec made it one of the country’s more accessible full-size golf destinations. The history of Hrubá Borša is therefore the history of a multi-course complex, with this 18-hole routing remaining its ranked centerpiece.
Did You Know? Green Resort is built around a 27-hole concept rather than a lone championship loop. That allows the property to present the ranked 18-hole course alongside a separate nine-hole public routing, giving the resort a broader playing identity than the name of the ranked row suggests. The distinction is useful when comparing the course itself with the complete Hrubá Borša golf facility.
