Overview: Grasslands Golf & Country Club is a private 18-hole parkland course in Lakeland, Florida, playing to par 72 and 7,040 yards from the longest tees. The layout has a traditional country-club setting, while the current restoration has rebuilt green complexes, bunkers, irrigation and drainage under Ron Garl.
History: The club's current golf page dates the course to 1991 and credits Jerry Pate and Bob Cupp with the original design, followed by a 2008 restoration from the Jerry Pate Design Group. A further restoration ran from 2024 to 2026 under Ron Garl, bringing the course back to championship condition.
Did You Know? Grasslands has hosted the Lakeland Classic and returned to professional golf in 2026 with the Orlando Health Championship, linking a private Lakeland club to a wider tournament history.
