Overview: The East Course at The Grange Golf Club changes personality during the round. Its front nine crosses flatter ground, then the back nine moves onto stronger golfing land with more pronounced undulations and a different rhythm of approaches. Greg Norman Golf Course Design's redevelopment created a par-72 course where tee-shot decisions, native areas, bunkers and green contours work together rather than appearing as separate hazards.
History: The East Course opened in 1967 as the second major routing at The Grange, following the West Course's 1927 opening. The layout was completely redeveloped by Greg Norman Golf Course Design in 2012. The modern course therefore carries both a late-1960s club history and a much newer architectural chapter, with the redevelopment using the property’s natural land rather than discarding its identity.
Did You Know? The East course's most memorable change is the movement from the flatter front nine to the better golfing land on the back nine. That transition affects more than the view. It changes the lie patterns, the way greens sit in the ground and the value of choosing the correct side of a fairway, giving the back nine a distinct sense of arrival.
