Overview: Grandview is the Mark O'Meara Course at a ClubLink property near Huntsville, set in the granite, forest and marshland of Muskoka. Mark O'Meara and Brit Stenson co-designed the 18-hole course, which opened in 2001. Large elevation changes create views toward Fairy Lake, while the routing moves through deciduous forest and exposed Canadian Shield ground. The greens are described as subtly breaking, and the course's real challenge comes from combining those putting surfaces with changing lies and the scale of the Muskoka landscape.
History: Grandview was created as a modern Muskoka destination course and became part of ClubLink's Ontario network. Its design carries the name and playing influence of Mark O'Meara, the 1998 Masters and Open champion, working with Brit Stenson. The course soon developed a competitive identity of its own, hosting the 2002 Telus Skins Game won by Sergio Garcia over Vijay Singh, John Daly and Mike Weir.
Did You Know? The ClubLink page points to the Group of Seven painters when describing the surrounding fall colour. That is a useful clue to Grandview's visual character: the forest, rock, marsh and lake views are not decorative additions, but the same Muskoka landscape that has long shaped the region's artistic identity.
